Visiting Turkey
Turkey is one of the most visited countries in the world. It is a tip travel destination for tourists from around the world to enjoy the rich culture, pleasant sights and sounds, and amazing cuisine. The tourism industry remains one of the top revenue earners for the government. This is why they introduced a visa-on-arrival scheme for foreign nationals from selected countries
If you are a passport holder of any of the approved countries, you can take advantage of Turkey’s visa on arrival, or you may opt for an electronic e- visa. Can I Get A Visa For Turkey On Arrival: All You Need To Know About Turkey’s Visa On Arrival
The Turkish visa in arrival came into life on April 17, 2013, after the Electronic Visa (e-visa) platform was launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The system allows foreign nationals to enter Turkey at short notice after obtaining the visa within 3 minutes from (www.evisa.gov.tr or Visahq.com).
This visa can be applied for in any of these ways.
Online: You can simply log onto the government link to apply for the transit visa using your smartphone or computer. As long as you have an internet connection, you are good to go. The application fee will be paid with an ATM card. Once you arrive in Turkey, the immigration officials will convert the visa into a short stay permit and stamp it to activate the document.
In Person: Those who did not apply for the e Visa can apply for a visa on arrival once they arrive at any of Turkey’s international airports. All they need do is provide their passport, and they will be issued an application form which should be filled by hand and submitted along with their passport for processing. The process takes less than 30 minutes, depending on those waiting in line.
