  • Visa application form. Application for Schengen Visa (form #119031), completed, signed and dated in boxes 36 and 37 as well as the bottom of the application.

  • Passport copy. A passport that is valid for at least three months after the visa has expired, was issued in the last ten years and has at least two empty pages.

  • Passport-type photograph. Include 1 passport photo, in color, taken from the front. Digital files and photocopies of passport pictures will NOT be accepted.

  • Personal letter. A letter stating the reason the purpose of your visit.

  • Business invitation. A business invitation letter from the sponsoring company in Sweden. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to "The Consulate of Sweden, Visa Section", and signed by a senior manager. The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:
    Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
    State the nature of the business to be conducted (i.e. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in the destination country.
    Specify the Type and desired Validity of the visa (i.e. a one year multiple entry business visa).

  • Proof of Sufficient Funds. Applicants must have money to support themselves and for the return trip home (Sweden also requires you to have 450 SEK for each day you stay in Sweden, which can also be paid for by the person who has invited them)

  • Health insurance. Proof of international health insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000, specifically covering travel to Schengen states is required. The policy should cover all expenses for repatriation, emergency medical aid, and hospital treatment for the period of stay. Applicants can get a free quote and purchase valid travel insurance from our affiliate.

  • Intentions to return home. The applicant must demonstrate that they have substantial ties with their home country and shows that they intend to leave Sweden and the Schengen area on the last day before the visa expires.

  • Proof of status. Notarized copy of U.S. Alien Registration Card or other valid resident visa (type A, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, O, or R) valid for at least three months after the intended departure from the Schengen area.

  • Itinerary. A copy of your flight itinerary. The applicant's name must be on itinerary.

  • Proof of accommodation. A copy of hotel reservations. The applicant's name must be on the reservation.
