      Solomon Islands COVID-19 travel restrictions

      • Entry is closed
        Solomon Islands are closed for most travel. Citizens and permanent residents are permitted entry.

        Non-citizens remain barred from entering the country unless granted special authorization from authorities.

        Prospective travelers must submit request to enter through the Office of the Secretary to the Prime Minister or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trad by writing to the head of the government’s COVID-19 committee, Permanent Secretary James Remobatu (jremobatu@pmc.gov.sb). Prospective travelers should clearly describe any special or compelling circumstances.
        Prior to arrival restrictions
        Valid passport. Valid national passport with at least 6 month remaining validity after the date of departure.
        Valid visa. Please see the instructions above if you need visa and apply.
        Negative COVID-19 test prior to arrival. Anyone entering Solomon Islands will be required to present 3 negative PCR tests:

        From 21 days before travel
        From 12-14 days before travel
        From 48 hours before travel

        All arrivals will be tested 3 times during quarantine, at their own expense.

        🏠Quarantine. Those arriving are required to quarantine for 14 days and are subject to a set number of tests during this period, dependent on the infection rate in the country of departure.
