  • Visa application form. Fully completed and signed application form.

  • Original passport. The passport must be valid at least 6 months after the intended date of departure from the territory of the destination country and has at least 2 blank visa pages.

  • Passport-type photograph. Include a passport style photo, with a white background, taken within the last 6 months. You may also choose to upload a photo to your order for us to print. There is a charge associated with this service.

  • Itinerary. A copy of round trip tickets or detailed itinerary for the duration of the trip. The applicant's name must be on itinerary.

  • Personal Letter. A personal letter from the applicant addressed to the Embassy of Papua New Guinea, explaining the purpose of the trip, dates of travel, cities to be visited, and place of accommodation. The letter must be written and signed personally by the visa applicant or their legal guardian. A tour company cannot provide the letter on the visa applicant's behalf.

  • Visa application form. For online orders, please download, print and sign Papua New Guinea visa application, prepared by our system under your account.

  • Original passport. The passport must be valid at least six months after the intended date of departure from the territory of Papua New Guinea and has at least two blank visa pages.

  • Passport-type photograph. Include a passport style photo, with a white background, taken within the last 6 months. You may also choose to upload a photo to your order for us to print. There is a surcharge associated with this service.

  • Itinerary. A reservation of the flight itinerary under the traveler's name. Must show flights entering and exiting Papua New Guinea.

  • Business Support Letter. A business letter from the sending company in the US. The letter should be printed on the company letterhead stationery, addressed to "The Consulate of Papua New Guinea, Visa Section", and signed by a senior manager. The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:
    • Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
    • State the nature of the business to be conducted (ie. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Papua New Guinea.
    • Specify the Type and desired Validity of the visa (ie. a one year multiple entry business visa).
    • Guarantee of sufficient funds for travel.

The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to "The Consulate of Papua New Guinea, Visa Section", and signed by a senior manager.   • Passport copy. Photocopy of the photo page of the applicant's passport.

  • Medical Certificate. Corona Virus Medical Clearance Certificate.

  • Health Declaration Form. Complete Corona Virus Supplementary Heath Form.

  • Approval Letter. A letter from employer/sponsor, outlining the reasons for their travel, to the following government agencies for approval:

Papua New Guinea COVID-19 travel restrictions

  • Entry is partially open
    Travel to Papua New Guinea is possible for vaccinated arrivals. Unvaccinated travelers must apply for approval from the authorities. All entries are subject to written exemption from the Controller.

    International visitors can apply for the exemption by emailing covid19-admin.logistics@police.gov.pg.
    Prior to arrival requirements
    Valid passport. Valid national passport with at least 6 month remaining validity after the date of departure.
    Valid visa. Please see the instructions above if visa is needed and apply.
    Negative COVID-19 test result: Anyone arriving to Papua New Guinea will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test, no older than 7 days. Travelers will be tested again on days 1, 7 and 21.
    📝Health form. Passengers must have an approved International Air Passenger Travel Form (I-APTF)
    Upon arrival restrictions
