A visa is not required for this destination.

Visitors holding a valid visa or permanent residency from any of the following countries: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, European Union, Singapore, Japan or South Korea which has been used at least once to enter those countries, do not require a visa for a stay of up to 30 days. Duration of stay can be extended through the Immigration Service of Panama for an additional 60 days.

Travelers should produce a COVID-19 negative certificate, which has been taken within 48 hours before their arrival, or should take a COVID-19 test upon arrival.

You are forbidden to visit Panama if you had visited South Africa or United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the preceding 20 days.

    Sounds good! What else do I need to know while planning a trip to Panama?
    • First, check the current validity of your passport.

    • Second, make sure your passport has blank Visa pages.

    • Confirm if transit visa is required for any connections.

      Check with your airline in case you have connecting flights overseas as part of your journey to Panama. It may be the case that countries you pass through en route to your destination may require a separate transit visa. Please refer to visa requirements of the specific country

      Panama COVID-19 travel restrictions

      • Entry is open
        Panama's borders have opened for travel and International flights to and from Panama have resumed.
        Prior to arrival restrictions
        Valid passport. Valid national passport with at least 6 month remaining validity after the date of departure.
        Valid visa. Please see the instructions above if you need visa and apply.
        Negative COVID-19 test: Unvaccinated visitors who are entering Panama must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken 72 hours before departing to Panama. Travelers arriving without a negative test or without a valid negative test must also take a COVID-19 test at the airport on arrival, at their own cost. IATA Travel Pass is not a valid proof of testing or vaccination.

        Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test.
        Health form is required for all travelers to be completed before departure. The form can be found on their site.
        Upon arrival restrictions
        🏠Quarantine for 3 days is required for all travelers who is tested positive. They will be required to quarantine for 7 days and take another test. A positive result will require additional 7 days of quarantine.

        Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to quarantine.
